About
A Mercedes-Benz vehicle is just like any other vehicle in at least one (and perhaps just one) respect: Motor oil is the lifeblood of your engine, and it needs to be changed regularly in order to keep your vehicle moving forward. Mercedes-Benz Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement should be performed at least once every 10,000 miles, or roughly once per year, as part of your regular Service A or Service B appointment*.
Different manufacturers provide different answers to the question: “How often should you change your oil?” The 10,000-mile oil replacement frequency guideline identified above is based on the performance of Mercedes-Benz Full Synthetic Motor Oil, which has been required in all new vehicles manufactured during and after model-year 2010. Ultimately, for newer models, you should rely on your ASSYST Plus maintenance computer to let you know when it’s time to schedule oil replacement**. For older vehicles made during and before model-year 2008, an oil change frequency of roughly 5,000 to 7,500 miles might be more appropriate^.
If you’re located near Rye or New Canaan, schedule Mercedes-Benz oil replacement service at Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich. While you’re here, let us answer your other questions about the Mercedes-Benz service schedule and introduce you to our exciting rotating service offers.
