What Does the PRESAFE® Mercedes-Benz System Do?

What Does “PRESAFE® Functions Limited” Mean?

If you see “PRESAFE® Functions Limited” displayed, that means your Mercedes-Benz vehicle may need service. This message will be shown on the vehicle’s information panel located behind the steering wheel. Typically, it means a sensor needs cleaning or adjusted. What does “PRESAFE® Inoperative” Mean?

You may eventually see the message “PRESAFE® Inoperative” in your Mercedes-Benz. As one recent owner’s manual clarifies—on page 382—this message is your cue to pay a visit to our service center.
