Mercedes-Benz PRESAFE®

Mercedes-Benz Black

The Mercedes-Benz PRESAFE® system automatically activates if an accident is about to happen. This safety feature, which is available in many new Mercedes-Benz models, takes preventative measures to make sure that you and your passengers are safe. Learn more about this innovative safety system with the Mercedes-Benz service experts near Rye at Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich.

What Does the PRESAFE® Mercedes-Benz System Do?

If your Mercedes-Benz car senses that an accident is going to take place, the PRESAFE® system will kick in. It takes the steps below to protect you from harm:

  • The front head restraints adjust for maximum crash protection by moving to the best position for preventing passenger injuries.
  • The windows and sunroof close if a rollover is possible to prevent debris from entering the cabin.
  • Increased tension in the front safety belts protects occupants from injury.

What is PRESAFE® Sound?

Some Mercedes-Benz vehicles come equipped with the PRESAFE® addition PRESAFE® Sound. This safety feature emits a specific “pink noise” that works within the inner ear to cause a reaction protecting your hearing from loud noises.
