If you see “PRESAFE® Functions Limited” displayed, that means your Mercedes-Benz vehicle may need service. This message will be shown on the vehicle’s information panel located behind the steering wheel. Typically, it means a sensor needs cleaning or adjusted. Schedule your service appointment today and have one of our factory-certified technicians take a look.
You may eventually see the message “PRESAFE® Inoperative” in your Mercedes-Benz. As one recent owner’s manual clarifies—on page 382—this message is your cue to pay a visit to our service center. So, although there is no single, clear “PRESAFE® Inoperative” meaning, your Mercedes-Benz should definitely be inspected at the earliest opportunity.
