What Is My Car Maintenance Schedule?

What is my car maintenance schedule? It’s a question that we hear all the time here at Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich, but keeping up with your Mercedes-Benz service schedule is far less complicated than you might expect. For models made during or after 2009, your necessary services will generally be grouped into Mercedes-Benz Service A* or Mercedes-Benz Service B*. These visits will usually come once every 10,000 miles, or roughly once per year.

Mercedes-Benz Service A: 10,000 Miles or One Year

Your first Mercedes-Benz Service A* appointment will come at 10,000 miles, or after one year of ownership. When you schedule this service at Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich, you can expect to receive:

  • Mercedes-Benz Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement^
  • Oil Filter Replacement^
  • All fluid level checks and corrections, according to recommended service intervals for your vehicle’s make and model
  • Tire inflation check and correction
  • Brake component inspection
  • Reset maintenance counter

In between appointments, it’s important to check your fluid levels and wash your car on a regular basis.

Mercedes-Benz Service B: 20,000 Miles or Two Years

Your next major appointment comes at 20,000 miles, or after roughly two years spent on the roads near Stamford and Darien. Mercedes-Benz Service B* is very similar to Service A, but it includes an expanded list of checks and replacements:

  • Mercedes-Benz Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement^
  • Oil Filter Replacement^
  • All fluid level checks and corrections, according to recommended service intervals for your vehicle’s make and model
  • Tire inflation check and correction
  • Brake component inspection
  • Cabin dust/combination filter replacement
  • Brake fluid exchange
  • Reset maintenance counter

What Is My Car Maintenance Schedule After 20,000 Miles?

Once again, you can count on your ASSYST Plus tracker to light up on your dashboard, whenever you’re due for service. Any new vehicle made during or after 2006 includes this feature. After 20,000 miles, your Mercedes-Benz service schedule will generally alternate between Service A and Service B. Once every 10,000 miles or so, you’ll schedule one or the other service appointment at our service center.  Have you noticed the letter C, D, E, or F on your dashboard? You don’t have to worry, as these letters simply designate additional services and checks which are required at different points in your car maintenance schedule**. The process is still the same: just schedule service and let our technicians take care of the rest.
